Reporting a user, or content
Report someone from inside the app. Open their profile, a message from them, or their card in your likes — tap Report or block. You can report, block, or do both at once. Reporting takes a copy of the relevant messages at that moment, so the report still stands even if they delete their account afterwards.
If you cannot reach the app, email the address above with the display name shown on the profile, what happened, and a screenshot if you have one.
A report raises an alert to a monitored mailbox, and is read by a person, not a bot. That alert is not a staffed rota with a committed checking cadence, so we are still not yet promising a response time — we would rather commit to one once there is a schedule behind it than publish a number we cannot honour. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local authorities first — Flare is not an emergency service.
Blocking someone
Blocking works both ways and they are not told. Once you block someone, neither of you can see or message the other, and your conversation disappears from both sides. It is not deleted — if you unblock them, from the Matches screen, it comes back.

Your data
Two things you can do yourself, without emailing anyone. Both are on your dashboard when signed in:
- Download my data — one file with everything Flare holds about you, including your photos.
- Delete my account — immediate and permanent, photo files included.
These are faster and safer than asking us to do it by hand, which risks acting on the wrong account. What is kept, and the one narrow record that outlives a deletion, is described in the Privacy Policy.
If we get it wrong
Email us first — most things are quicker to fix directly. You also have the right to complain to Nigeria's data-protection regulator, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, at ndpc.gov.ng.
